PRACTICAL COURSE ON CLINICAL CYTOMETRY
The Westin Long Beach
This two and half day comprehensive course covers topics relevant to technologists, laboratory scientists and pathologists working in the field of clinical flow cytometry. Get hands-on practical experience, with instrumentation and patient data analysis working with a team of expert faculty. This course has a faculty to student ratio of approximately of 5 to 1 students. The high proportion of faculty to students allows students easy access to expert faculty who engage with students in activities focused on problem solving in the flow cytometry laboratory. Additionally, the small group design allows you to get the information you need and make connections that will serve as an ongoing resource when you return to your lab. The following topics will be covered.
- Instrumentation
- Panel Design and Validation
- Recognizing Normal
- Chronic Lymphoid Disorders (B & T)
- Acute Leukemia
- Impact of Therapy on Analysis of Flow Cytometric Data
- Trouble Shooting in Clinical Flow Cytometry
Supported by a generous educational grant from the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation.
